EDWARD W. ROGERS JR.
Ed has over 27 years experience in the financial services industry.
He began his career on July 1, 1981 as an Investment Executive with the Portland,Maine office of Shearson American Express (now known as Morgan Stanley Smith Barney) only one month after graduating from BOWDOIN COLLEGE with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Mathematics.
After spending 8 1/2 years with Shearson as Vice President of Investments and Sales Manager, Mr. Rogers joined Legg Mason in January of 1990.
Mr. Rogers' record of providing superior sales performance has earned him a place on the firm's prestigious Chairman's Council, MILLION DOLLAR CLU®B and 21st Century Society.
Mr. Rogers was among the twenty percent of Legg Mason Financial Advisors who have qualified to be a manager in Legg Mason's Managed Investment Portfolio(MIP)program based on experience, training and the demonstrated ability to manage investment portfolios in accordance with clients' specific objectives and needs.
Additionally, he has earned Legg Mason certification as a WEALTH MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT(having received the highest grade in the class) and RETIREMENT PLAN CONSULTANT.
He is a past member of the Maine Estate Planning Committee and Maine Employee Benefits Council.
A 1977 graduate of Cheverus High School, Mr. Rogers served on the Cheverus High School Board of Trustees from 1984-1990 and was the assistant coach of the 1981-1982 State Champion Cheverus Men's Basketball Team as well as the Head Coach of the 2007-2008 North Yarmouth Academy Men's Varsity Basketball team..
Mr. Rogers resides in Falmouth with his wife, April, his two sons, E.J.(16) and Ben(12), and his two daughters, Olivia(4) & Lindsay(3).
JASON E. FOSTER, FINANCIAL ADVISOR
Jason is a native of Bridgton Maine. He has been in the financial industry for five years since graduating from the University of Maine at Farmington, and has spent the last three years with Legg Mason as a Financial Advisor. Jason works with Ed, and complements our team by providing select clients with personalized investment advice.
BARBARA SMITH, REGISTERED CSA
Barb is a graduate of Catherine McAuley High School and Stonehill College in North Easton, Massachusetts with a B.A. in International Relations. She was a Sales Assistant at Merrill Lynch for 10 years, a Recruiting Coordinator and Branch Supervisor for Licensing and Registration at Metlife for 2 years and a Sales Assistant at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney since March, 2005. She is Series 7 & Series 66 Registered and a Notary Public and her biggest accomplishment and hardest job she has ever had is raising TRIPLETS.
JAY FLOWER, FINANCIAL ADVISOR
Jay was born and raised in Brunswick and attended North Yarmouth Academy. He then went to Hobart College in Geneva, New York where he was the captain of the tennis team. After graduating in ’98 he spent seven years in Boston where he worked for a large mutual fund company and then a private wealth management firm before starting his career as a Financial Advisor. Jay and his wife decided to move back to Maine during the summer of ’05 and they currently reside in South Freeport with their daughter where they are involved in various community and charitable organizations. In his spare time Jay enjoys golf, tennis boating and visiting his numerous family members in Boothbay Harbor.
